Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the conditions under which Namjai provides watch repair and restoration services. We have written them plainly so they are easy to read. If anything is unclear, please write to us at [email protected].

1. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words carry the meanings given below:

"Namjai"
Refers to Namjai watch repair and restoration workshop, located at 137 Thanon Tok Road, Bang Kho Laem, Bangkok 10120, Thailand ("we", "us", "our").
"Client"
Any person or entity who submits a watch, makes an enquiry, or engages our services ("you", "your").
"Service"
Watch cleaning, servicing, movement overhaul, restoration, and any related work carried out by Namjai.
"Watch"
The timepiece or related item entrusted to Namjai for the purpose of a Service.
"Agreement"
The contract formed when a Client accepts a written service estimate and hands the Watch to Namjai.
"Website"
The informational website operated by Namjai at namjaix.world.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Website, making an enquiry, or leaving a Watch with us for any Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a legal guardian, to enter into an Agreement with Namjai.
  • You confirm that you have the legal authority to authorise the Service on any Watch you submit — whether owned by you or entrusted to you by another party.
  • If you are acting on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Service Description

Namjai offers watch repair and restoration services for mechanical and vintage timepieces. Our three current service levels are:

Gentle Service & Check — ฿4,200

Cleaning of accessible parts, fresh lubrication where appropriate, timing regulation, and a written condition report. Approx. 1–2 weeks.

Full Movement Service — ฿9,600

Complete movement disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, re-oiling, balance and mainspring review, timing regulation across positions, seal renewal. Approx. 3 weeks.

Considered Restoration — ฿14,100

Full overhaul plus case and dial conservation. All cosmetic decisions discussed with you in advance. Work documented throughout. 5–8 weeks.

Services are carried out at our Bangkok workshop. We do not currently offer postal or courier intake. Service availability may vary according to workload; we will communicate any changes to your timeline as early as possible.

4. Your Responsibilities

As a Client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the Watch, including known faults, previous repairs, or modifications.
  • Inform us if the Watch has sentimental or monetary value that may affect how we handle or assess it.
  • Collect the Watch within 30 days of being notified that work is complete. After 30 days, a storage charge of ฿150 per week may apply.
  • Use this Website only for lawful, good-faith purposes — not to submit false enquiries or to interfere with site operation.
  • Refrain from reverse-engineering, scraping, or duplicating any part of this Website without written permission.

We may decline or pause a Service at any stage if we discover information that was withheld or materially inaccurate at intake.

5. Intellectual Property

All text, photographs, brand identity, and technical content on this Website are the property of Namjai or its contributors and are protected under Thai copyright law.

You may view and print pages from this Website for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any content without prior written consent from Namjai.

Any condition reports, service documentation, or photographs we produce in relation to your Watch remain the intellectual property of Namjai. Copies shared with you are for your personal record only.

6. Payment Terms

All prices are quoted and payable in Thai Baht (฿). A written estimate is provided before any work begins. No work will commence without your written or verbal acceptance of that estimate.

  • Payment is due in full on collection of the Watch.
  • We accept cash and major bank transfers. Card payments can be discussed at intake.
  • If additional work is found to be necessary during a Service, we will contact you before proceeding. You may decline, in which case we will complete only the originally agreed scope.
  • We do not offer refunds on completed services unless a demonstrable fault in our workmanship is established. Any such concern should be raised within 14 days of collection.
  • If you decide not to proceed after leaving the Watch with us but before work has begun, no charge will apply.

7. Service-Specific Terms

The following provisions apply specifically to watch repair and restoration work:

  • Timelines — All durations given are working estimates, not fixed commitments. Parts availability, movement complexity, and workshop demand can affect turnaround. We will communicate any delays.
  • Originality — We will not replace a part with a non-original component without your knowledge and agreement, particularly on vintage and collector pieces.
  • Condition on intake — We record the Watch's condition at intake with written notes and photographs. This protects both you and us in the event of a dispute about pre-existing damage.
  • Uncollected watches — Watches not collected within 90 days of completion notice, after reasonable attempts to contact you, may be placed in secure storage. Namjai will not dispose of any Watch without a further 60-day written notice period.
  • Scope changes — Any expansion of scope beyond the original agreement requires your approval, which may be given by phone, email, or in person.

8. Disclaimers

Namjai takes considerable care in every service. However:

  • We cannot predict how an aged movement or case will respond to service. While we work with as much care as possible, some very old or fragile components carry inherent risk of failure during disassembly or cleaning.
  • This Website is provided for information only. The accuracy of any content is maintained in good faith but we make no representations as to its completeness at any given time.
  • Namjai is a repair and restoration workshop, not a valuation service. Nothing on this Website or in our condition reports constitutes a professional appraisal or valuation for insurance or resale purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law:

  • Namjai's total liability in connection with any Service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific Service.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses — including loss of anticipated value, sentimental loss, or loss of use — except where such losses arise from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
  • We are not responsible for events outside our control, including natural disasters, utility failures, theft from premises (in the absence of negligence), or force majeure circumstances.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold Namjai harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your provision of inaccurate information, your lack of authority over a submitted Watch, or your breach of these Terms. This obligation survives the conclusion of any Service Agreement.

11. Termination

Either party may end a Service Agreement before work commences without obligation, provided notice is given promptly.

If work has already begun, Namjai may invoice for labour and parts used up to the point of termination. You may collect the Watch in its current (incomplete) state.

Namjai reserves the right to decline or discontinue a Service if a Client is abusive, provides materially false information, or if the Watch presents unforeseen technical risks that we are not equipped to manage safely. In such cases we will communicate clearly and return the Watch without charge for work not yet started.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute shall first be addressed informally — please write to us at [email protected] and we will make a genuine effort to resolve the matter within 14 business days.

If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts in Bangkok. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Thai consumer protection law.

13. General Provisions

  • Entire agreement — These Terms, together with any written service estimate accepted by you, constitute the complete agreement between us.
  • Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
  • Waiver — Failure to enforce any provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that provision going forward.
  • Assignment — You may not assign your rights or obligations under any Agreement without our written consent. We may transfer our obligations to a successor entity.
  • Notices — Formal notices should be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to our Bangkok address.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operations, or applicable law. The revised version will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of this Website or submission of a Watch after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you are concerned about any change, you are welcome to contact us before proceeding.
